European Tour Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2019 Irish Open

The 2019 Irish Open golf tournament on the European Tour is taking place this week from July 4-7, 2019, at the Lahinch Golf Club located in Lahinch, County Clare, IrelandHere is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the European Tour players to win this week at the 2019 Irish Open.



The Irish Open dates all the way back to 1927, though, the event was not played from 1954 to 1974. It has been a European Tour event since 1975. Colin Montgomerie, Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer and Seve Ballesteros jointly hold the record for most wins with three each.

Rory McIlroy hosts the Irish Open and his charity the Rory Foundation is the main benefactor from the tournament. Rory McIlroy won the Irish Open in 2016. Jon Rahm won the Irish Open in 2017 and Russell Knox is the defending champion.

The total prize money up for grabs at the 2019 Irish Open is $7 million making this one of the highest prize money events on European Tour in 2018. All prize money below for the 2018 Irish Open golf tournament is in American dollars.

The winner of the 2019 Irish Open will earn a cool $1.17 million. The winner of this European Tour event last year was Russell Knox.
