PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2019 RBC Canadian Open

The 2019 RBC Canadian Open golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from June 6-9, 2019, at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs this week for the PGA golfers at the 2019 RBC Canadian Open.



The RBC Canadian Open dates back to 1904. It is the third oldest tournament on the PGA Tour trailing only the British and U.S. Opens. Leo Diegel holds the record for most wins with four followed by Tommy Armour, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino with three each. In modern times, Jason Day won this event in 2015 and Tiger Woods was a winner here in 2000. Dustin Johnson is the defending champion.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2019 RBC Canadian Open is $7.6 million. That's up a huge 22.6% over the $6.2 million that was up for grabs in this PGA Tour event last year.

The winner of the 2018 RBC Canadian Open will earn $1.368 million. That's up 22.6% over the $1.116 million in prize money that Dustin Johnson earned when he won this tournament last year.

  • Fourth place - $364,800
