PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship

The 2019 Wells Fargo Championship golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from May 2-5, 2019, at the Quail Hollow Golf Club located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship.



The Wells Fargo Championship dates back to 2003. Rory McIlroy holds the record for most wins with two (2010, 2015). Rickie Fowler got one of his wins on tour here in 2012. Tiger Woods won this event in 2007. Jason Day is the defending champion. 

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship is $7.9 million. That's up 2.7% over the $7.7 million in prize money that was up for grabs in this PGA golf tournament last year.

  • Winner - $1.422 million

The winner of the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship will earn a cool $1.422 million. That's up 2.7% over the $1.386 million Jason Day earned when he won for the first time on tour here last year. A win here is worth slightly more than the average PGA payout for a win in 2019.

  • Third place - $537,200


  • Fourth place - $379,200


  • Fifth place - $316,000


  • Sixth Place - $284,400


  • Seventh Place - $264,650
