PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2019 Genesis Open

The 2019 Genesis Open golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from February 14-17, 2019, at the Riviera Country Club located in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, California. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers to win at the 2019 Genesis Open.

The Genesis Open dates back to 1926. Macdonald Smith and Lloyd Mangrum jointly hold the record for most wins with four each. Ben Hogan, Bubba Watson and Arnold Palmer are tied for second most wins with three each. Sam Snead and Phil Mickelson are three of 11 golfers who have each won this event twice.

Tiger Woods has never won this event but he's come in second twice and he is playing the 2019 Genesis Open. Jordan Spieth has also yet to win the Genesis Open and he will be trying to win for the first time at Riviera this week in Los Angeles. Phil Mickelson is playing and trying to win here for the third time.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2019 Genesis Open is $7.4 million. That's up 2.9% over the $7.2 million in prize money that was up for grabs in this tournament last year.

  • Winner - $1.332 million

The winner of the 2019 Genesis Open will earn a cool $1.332 million in prize money. That's up 2.9% over the $1.296 million in prize money that Bubba Watson earned last year when he won this tournament.


  • Second place - $799,200


  • Third place - $503,200


  • Fourth place - $355,200


  • Fifth place - $296,000
