Before we get to the exact number here are a few relevant facts. Women's golf on the LPGA Tour has never been healthier.

So how much money will the average LPGA woman golfer make this year?

  • $396,182

The average woman golfer on the LPGA Tour will make or earn roughly $396,182 in 2019. That will be a 20.5% increase over what the average woman golfer made in 2017.

The figure of $396,182 includes all woman golfers on the LPGA Tour. That includes the 15 to 20 women who will each earn over $1 million this season and all the women who will make less than $50,000 this year.

One of the exciting new changes on the LPGA Tour in 2019 is that one of the events is now offering a $1.5 million first place prize. The season ending CME Group Tour Championship has doubled its overall prize money from $2.5 million to $5 million and the winner of the event will instantly become wealthy by earning the $1.5 million first place prize.

It is quite possible that two events on the LPGA Tour this season will offer over $1 million in first place prize money. The U.S. Women's Open had a first place prize of $900,000 in 2018 and it's quite possible the USGA will raise that to $1 million or more in 2019.
