PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2018 CJ Cup

The 2018 CJ Cup golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from October 18-21, 2018, at the Nine Bridges Golf Club located on Jeju Island, South Korea. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs this week for the PGA golfers at the 2018 CJ Cup.



The CJ Cup is the third tournament of the 2019 PGA Tour season even though it is being played in 2018. Since 2013, the PGA Tour season begins in October of one year and finishes in September of the following year.   

The CJ Cup is a new tournament on the PGA Tour which debuted last year in 2017. The field for the CJ Cup is limited to just 78 players with the top 60 players from the 2018 FedEx Cup standings getting invites as well as some Korean and Asian tour players and eight sponsor exemptions.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2018 CJ Cup is $9.50 million. That's up 2.7% over the $9.25 million in prize money that was up for grabs in this event last year.

  • Winner - $1.710 million

The winner of the 2017 CJ Cup will earn $1.710 million. That's up 2.7% over the $1.655 million in prize money last year and it's also the biggest prize money for 1st place on the PGA Tour for 2019 season outside of the majors, players championship and WGC events.


  • Second place - $1.026 million


  • Third place - $646,000


  • Fourth place - $456,000


  • Fifth place - $380,000
