Prize Money Up for Grabs for Doubles Players 2018 U.S. Open Grand Slam Tennis Tournament

The 2018 U.S. Open Grand Slam tennis tournament for men and women players on the ATP and WTA circuits is taking place this month this month from August 27 to September 9, 2018, on the hard courts at the USTA National Tennis Center located in New York, New York. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the men and women doubles players at the 2018 U.S. Open.

The 2018 U.S. Open tennis tournament is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments held annually. Total prize money up for grabs at 2018 Wimbledon is $53 million. Men and women doubles players are paid the same amounts of prize money at the U.S. Open in 2018. 

All prize money below is in American dollars. The prize money is not cumulative, players only earn the amounts shown for the last round they advance to. The amounts listed are per team, to get the per player amounts just divide by two as noted below.

In parenthesis after each round is the percentage increase in the prize money over last year. Below the doubles prize money is the mixed doubles prize money. Both doubles and mixed doubles have received some increases in prize money.

Prize Money Up for Grabs for Doubles Players 2018 U.S. Open

  • Winners - $700,000 (up 3.7% over 2017) 

The men's and women's winners of the 2018 Wimbledon tennis tournament in doubles play will each earn $700,000 per team or $350,000 per player in prize money. 

  • Runners-up - $350,000 (up 2.94%)

  • Semifinalists - $166,400 (up 4.%)

  • Quarter-finalists - $85,275 (up 4.0%)

  • Third Round - $46,563 (up 5.8%)

  • Second Round - $27,876 (up 5.2%)

  • First Round - $16,500 (no change)

U.S. Open 2018 Mixed Doubles Prize Money Payouts

  • Winners - $155,000 (up 3.33% from 2017) works out to $77,500 per player

  • Runners-up - $70,000 (same as last year)

  • Semifinalists - $30,000 (same as last year)

  • Quarter-finalists - $15,000 (same as last year)

  • Second Round - $10,000 (same as last year)

  • First Round - $5,000 (same as last year)
