The 2018 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from August 2-5, 2018, on the South Course at the Firestone Country Club located in Akron, Ohio. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs this week for the PGA golfers at the 2018 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.

The WGC-Bridgestone Invitational dates back to 1999. Tiger Woods has completely dominated this event winning it a record 8 times. Tiger Woods is the only player to ever win this event more than once. Hideki Matsuyama from Japan is the defending champion.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2018 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational is $10 million. That's up 2.6% over the $9.75 million that was up for grabs in this PGA Tour event last year.

This invitational tournament is open to only about 75 players. There is no cut in this event and all players who complete all four rounds will get a paycheck this week. The player or players who finish last will likely still get paychecks of around $50,000 each.
