Highest Paid NBA Player in 2018

Do you know who the highest paid NBA player is for the 2018 NBA season? The 2018 NBA season started in October of 2017 and will conclude in June of 2018.

For the first time in 9 years the highest paid NBA player is not Kobe Bryant or LeBron James. LeBron James was the highest paid NBA player in 2017 earning $31 million in salary. From 2010 to 2016, Kobe Bryant was the highest paid NBA player earning anywhere between $23 million and $30.5 million.

The highest paid player inn the NBA for the 2018 season is making more money from salary than any NBA player in history. In 1998, Michael Jordan made $33 million playing for the Chicago Bulls which was the previous high for a NBA player for a season.

Highest Paid NBA Player in 2018

  • Steph Curry - $34.7 million

The highest paid player in the NBA in 2018 is Steph Curry who is earning a whopping $34.7 million. That is the most money one player has ever made in a season in the NBA from salary.

Steph Curry is also poised to keep breaking his own record for highest salary. Listed below is his scheduled salary for the next 5 years.

  • 2019 - $37.5 million

  • 2020 - $40.2 milion

  • 2021 - $43 million

  • 2022 - $45.8 million

All of those salaries will be records unless another player like LeBron James signs for even more money. LeBron is set to become a free-agent after the 2018 season and he could very well sign for even more money than Steph Curry did.
