Tiger Woods Sponsors in 2018

Here is a list of the companies that still sponsor Tiger Woods in 2018. Tiger Woods was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on May 29, 2017, in Florida and toxicology reports showed he had five different drugs in his system at the time, Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC (marijuana).

Despite the arrest, Tiger Woods still has a pretty big list of companies that sponsor him. It's estimated that Tiger Woods makes some $35 million a year from these sponsors even though he has not played a competitive round of golf since late January and has not won a golf tournament since 2013.

The fact that Tiger Woods still has this many big sponsors that pay him $35 million a year despite his off the field troubles with his sex scandal and a DUI and the fact that he has had a lot of trouble even playing golf over the last few years speaks volumes. Tiger Woods is still a very marketable sports celebrity in 2018 and as you will see below that is true around the world.

Tiger Woods Sponsors in 2018

  • Nike

By far, Nike is Tiger Woods biggest sponsor and has been ever since he turned pro in August of 1996. Nike has been extremely loyal to Tiger Woods and stuck with him through all of his off the field problems including the DUI this year. Despite having Tiger Woods as a sponsor, Nike got out of the golf equipment business in 2016.

  • Monster Energy

Monster Energy started sponsoring Tiger Woods late in 2016 and their logo has appeared on his golf bag since then. Monster is the 7th sponsor of Tiger Woods to appear on his golf bag. The other six were Titleist, Buick, AT&T, Nike, Fuse Science and MusclePharm. Prior to Monster, Tiger Woods had a MusclePharm logo on his bag but the company got into trouble and paid Tiger $2.5 million to end their sponsorship deal last year.

  • Bridgestone Golf

After Nike got out of the golf equipment business, Tiger Woods started playing with a Bridgestone 330S golf ball late in 2016. Tiger had been using a Nike made golf ball since 2000.

  • Taylor Made

Also after Nike got out of the golf club business Tiger Woods switched over to Taylor Made golf clubs in late 2016.

  • Hero Motocorp

Hero Motocorp, a huge motorcycle and scooter manufacturer based in India, started sponsoring the Hero World Challenge in 2014. The World Challenge is Tiger Woods own tournament with the proceeds going to his foundation. It's played in December each year in the Bahamas. It's an unofficial event on the PGA Tour and the last three winners were Hideki Matsuyama, Bubba Watson and Jordan Spieth.

  • PGA Tour

As mentioned above, Tiger Woods Hero World Challenge is part of the PGA Tour as an unofficial event. Tiger Woods also hosted the Quicken Loans National, a regular PGA Tour event, but it's uncertain that will continue and Tiger does not list Quicken Loans as a sponsor.

  • Full Swing

Full Swing is a San Diego based maker of golf simulators that started sponsoring Tiger Woods in 2015. Tiger claims he used their simulators prior to the deal. Full Swing has released Tiger Woods branded golf simulators in China as a main part of the deal.

  • Kowa

Kowa is a Japanese company and they were the first new company to sign Tiger Woods as a sponsor after his sex scandal was revealed in late 2009. Tiger appears in Kowa ads promoting their pain relief products only in Japan.

  • Upper Deck

Upper Deck signed Tiger Woods as a sponsor in 2001 and the company has stayed with him ever since. Together they release Tiger Woods golf memorabilia including sports cards and other collectibles. If you want authenticate Tiger Woods memorabilia this is the place to go.
