PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs 2017 Albertsons Boise Open

The 2017 Albertsons Boise Open golf tournament on the development tour for the PGA Tour is taking place this week from September 14-17, 2017, at the Hillcrest Country Club located in Boise, Idaho. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the players at the 2017 Albertsons Boise Open. 

The Albertsons Boise Open on the Tour dates back to 1990. Martin Piller, who is best knwon as the husband of LPGA golf star Gerina Piller, won this event in 2015.

This is the 2nd of the four Tour Finals tournaments. Playing in the Tour Finals has replaced the qualifying school as the main way for golfers to earn their PGA Tour cards. The top 25 money earners over the four Tour Finals tournaments earn their tour cards for next season.

This is the 24th event of 2017. Kyle Thompson, Andrew Landry, Ethan Tracy, Andrew Putnam, Casey Wittenberg, D.H. Lee, Matt Atkins, Nate Lashley, Stephan Jager (2 wins), Conrad Shindler, Aaron Wise, Adam Schenk, Lanto Griffin, Chesson Hadley, Brice Garnett, Sam Ryder, Dou Zecheng, Martin Piller, Ben Silverman, Talor Gooch and Peter Uihlein won the first 23 events of the year.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Albertsons Boise Open is $1 million.  Any player who wins three times on the Tour automatically earns their PGA Tour card.

  • Winner - $180,000

The winner of the 2017 Albertsons Boise Open will earn $180,000. The same amount of prize money earned by Michael Thompson when he won this tournament last year.

  • Second place - $108,000

  • Third place - $68,000

  • Fourth place - $48,000

  • Fifth place - $40,000
