PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2017 Web.com Tour Championship

The 2017 Web.com Tour Championship golf tournament on the Web.com development tour for the PGA Tour is taking place this week from September 28 to October 1, 2017, at the Atlantic Beach Country Club located in Atlantic Beach, Florida. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the Web.com players at the 2017 Web.com Tour Championship.

The Web.com Tour Championship on the Web.com Tour dates back to 1993. Golf major winners David Duval (1993) and Stewart Cink (1996) have both won this event.

This is the 4th of the four Web.com Tour Finals events. Playing in the Web.com Tour Finals has replaced the qualifying school as the main way for golfers to earn their PGA Tour cards. The top 25 money earners over the four Web.com Tour Finals tournaments earn their tour cards for next season.

Anybody who wins one of the four Web.com Tour Finals is guaranteed to earn their PGA Tour card. That is not written in stone but the first place prize money for winning one of the finals events is more than enough to ensure that a player will be in the top 25 in money earned thus giving the player his tour card for the next season.

Peter Uihlein, Chesson Hadley and Nicholas Lindheim won the first three Web.com Finals events. Hadley had already earned his PGA Tour card for 2018 and the wins give Uihlein and Lindheim more than enough earnings to be in the top 25 thus giving them their tour card for next year too.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Web.com Tour Championship is $1 million.  Any player who wins three times on the Web.com Tour automatically earns their PGA Tour card.
