PGA Senior Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2017 Principal Charity Classic

The 2017 Principal Charity Classic golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions is taking place this week from June 9-11, 2017, at the Wakonda Club located in Des Moines, Iowa. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the senior PGA golfers to win this week at the 2017 Principal Charity Classic.



The Principal Charity Classic senior golf tournament dates back to 2001. Jay Haas holds the record for most wins with three, followed by Bob Gilder with two wins. 

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Principal Charity Classic is $1.75 million. That's the same amount of prize money that was up for grabs here last year.

  • Winner - $262,500

The winner of the 2017 Principal Chairty Classic senior golf tournament will earn $262,500. That's the same amount of prize money that Scott McCarron earned when he won this senior golf tournament last year.


  • Second place - $154,000


  • Third place - $126,000


  • Fourth place - $101,125


  • Fifth place - $86,125


  • Sixth place - $70,000
