LPGA Women's Golf Playing Field for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship

The 2017 Kingsmill Championship golf tournament for women players on the LPGA Tour is taking place this week from May 18-21, 2017, on the River Course at the Kingsmill Resort located in Williamsburg, Virginia. Here is a list of the top LPGA women golfers in the playing field for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship.



The Kingsmill Championship dates back to 2003. Cristie Kerr is the only woman to win this event multiple times and she has three wins (2005, 2009, 2013). The Kingsmill Championship is a 72 hole stroke play event with a cut to 70 players plus ties after the second round.


LPGA Women's Golf Playing Field for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship


The playing field for the 2017 Kingsmill Championship includes the following eight out of the top 10 ranked women golfers in the world: 

  • Lydia Ko

  • Aryia Jutanugarn

  • So Yeon Ryu

  • In Gee Chun

  • Lexi Thompson

  • Shanshan Feng

  • Sei Young Kim

  • Amy Yang

The two top 10 women golfers skipping this event this year are Inbee Park and Ha Na Jang.

Top 25 women in the playing field include Sung Hyun Park, Anna Nordqvist, Cristie Kerr, Brooke Henderson, Mirim Lee, Haru Nomura, Minjee Lee, Suzann Pettersen, Gerina Piller, Mi Jung Hur, Carlota Ciganda and Jessic Korda

Popular and well known women golfers in the playing field not already mentioned above include Sandra Gal, Brittany Lang, Brittany Lincicome, Mo Martin, Belen Mozo, Azahara Munoz, Morgan Pressel, Beatriz Recari, Angela Stanford and Cheyenne Woods the niece of Tiger Woods.
