Tennis Prize Money Up for Grabs for Women Players at 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix

The 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix tennis tournament for women players on the WTA circuit is taking place this week from April 24-30, 2017, on the indoor clay courts at the Porsche Arena located in Stuttgart, Germany. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women tennis players at the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.



The 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is a Premier event on the WTA circuit which means it has a prize money fund between $600,000 and $1 million. Actual prize money at the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is $776,000.  

All prize money below is in American dollars converted from Euros. The prize money is not cumulative, players only earn the amounts shown for the last round they advance to. In a cool perk, the winner of the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix also gets a brand new Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet sports car valued at over $130,000.

The highest ranked women playing in the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix are Angelique Kerber from Germany, Karolina Pliskova from the Czech Republic, Dominika Cibulkova from Slovakia and Simona Halep from Romania. 

Of great note, Maria Sharapova makes her return to tennis in the 2017 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Maria has won this event three times (2012-14). She plays Roberta Vinci in a tough 1st round match-up.
