Which 3 Ivy League Colleges Do Not Have Law Schools?

The eight Ivy League schools are considered by most people to be among the very best and elite colleges not only in the United States but all over the world. That is also true for the Ivy League colleges that have law schools but surprisingly three of the Ivy League colleges do not have law schools. Do you know which three Ivy League colleges do not have law schools? 



The answers may come as a big surprise to many especially one of the Ivy League colleges that does not have a law school. That Ivy League school was founded in 1746 as the just the 4th higher education institution in the 13 colonies and its graduates have won 41 Nobel Prizes and many other prestigious awards and they also make a lot of money but none of them went to law school at the college.


Which 3 Ivy League Colleges Do Not Have Law Schools?


  • Brown

Brown was founded in 1764 and has 6,300 undergrads and 2,200 post-grads but does not have a law school. Brown does have a medical school called Alpert Medical School but it's not connected to the main campus in Providence, Rhode Island.

  • Dartmouth

Dartmouth was founded in 1769 and has 4,300 undergrads and 2,100 psot-grads but does not have a law schools. Dartmouth also has a medical school called the Geisel Medical Schools which is adjacent to its campus in Hanover, New Hampshire.

  • Princeton

The most surprising Ivy League college to not have a law school has to be Princeton. Founded in 1746, Princeton has 5,400 undergrads and 2,800 post-grads but no law schools. Princeton is also the only Ivy League college that does not have a medical school.


The five Ivy League colleges with law schools are Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Penn and Yale. Those are five of the top law schools in the United States and the world and they are all pretty hard to get into, though, some are harder to get into than others.

If you need a lawyer for anything, wills, real estate transactions, patents, or any kind of personal injury lawsuits including car accidents, class-action lawsuits of all kinds including vs big pharma, medical malpractice, etc., you are probably better off with an Ivy League lawyer than not.
