Women's Tennis Prize Money Up for Grabs at 2017 Indian Wells Masters

The 2017 Indian Wells Masters or BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament for women players on the WTA circuit is taking place this week from March 9-19, 2017, on the outdoor hard courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden located in Indian Wells, California. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women tennis players at the 2017 BNP Paribas Open also known as the Indian Wells Masters.

The 2017 Indian Wells Masters or BNP Paribas Open is a Premier Mandatory event on the WTA circuit which means only the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments rank higher. All prize money below is in American dollars. The prize money is not cumulative, players only earn the amounts shown for the last round they advance to.

Indian Wells has made noise about paying women players less than the men but for singles players the money has remained the same in 2017. Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison owns this tournament and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Total prize money up for grabs for the women players at the 2017 Indian Wells Masters is $7.7 million. All the highest ranked women players in the world are playing in the tournament including Serena Williams, Angelique Kerber, Karolina Pliskova and Simona Halep.
