PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational

The 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from March 16-19, 2017, at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge located in the Orlando suburb of Bay Hill, Florida. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers playing in the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational.



The Arnold Palmer Invitational dates back to 1966. Tiger Woods easily holds the record for most wins in the event with eight (2000-03, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013). Tiger Woods was considering playing at Bay Hill to get ready for the 2017 Masters but he never entered the event casting serious doubt on his playing The Masters at  Augusta in 2017.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational is $8.7 million. That's up a whopping 38% over the $6.3 million that was up for grabs in this tournament last year. 

Golf major winner (2015 PGA Championship) Jason Day from Australia is the defending champion.

  • Winner - $1.566 million

The winner of the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational will earn a very Arnold Palmer Iced Tea cool $1.566 million in prize money. That's up a whopping 38% over the $1.134 million in prize money that Jason Day earned last year when he won this tournament.

  • Second place - $939,600


  • Third place - $591,600


  • Fourth place - $417,600


  • Fifth place - $348,000


  • Sixth Place - $313,200


  • Seventh Place - $291,450
