Women's Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at 2017 Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic

The 2017 Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic golf tournament for women players on the LPGA Tour is taking place this week from January 26-29, 2017, at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women LPGA women golfers at the 2017 Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic.

The Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic is the first tournament of the year for the women players on the LPGA Tour. It is a 72 hole stoke play tournament with a 36 hole cut line to 70 players plus ties.

The tournament dates back to 2013 when Ilhee Lee was the inaugural winner. American Jessica Korda won this event in 2014, Kim Sei-young was the 2015 winner and Kim Hyo-joo won the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic last year in 2016.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic is $1.4 million. The same amount of prize money that was up for grabs in this tournament last year.

As with most LPGA Tournaments the first place prize money in the 2017 Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic is set in stone at 15% of the total prize money. The rest of the prize money below the top spot can vary a little bit from what is shown based upon how many women make the cut. The more women who make the cut due to ties beyond 70 the less money each spot below the top spot will pay.
