European Tour Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at 2017 Dubai Desert Classic

The 2017 Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament on the European Tour is taking place this week from February 2-5, 2017, at the Emirates Golf Club located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the European Tour players at the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic.



The Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament dates back to 1989. Ernie Els (1994, 2002, 2005) holds the record for most wins with three. Tiger Woods (2006, 2008) has won the dubai Desert Classic twice and he's playing this year to try and tie Ernie Els with 3 wins.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic is $2.65 million. The same amount of prize money as last year. The prize money below has been converted from Euros to dollars at the current exchange rate of 1.08.

  • Winner - $442,418

The winner of the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic will earn $442,418. The winner of this tournament last year was Danny Willett from England who went on to win the 2016 Masters.

  • Second place - $295,000

Second place is worth $295,000 at the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic. Rafa Cabrera-Bello from Spain and Andy Sullivan from England tied for second place here last year.

  • Third place - $166,175

Third place at the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament on the European Tour is worth $166,175. 

  • Fourth place - $132,728

Fourth place is worth $132,728 at the 2017 Dubai Desert Classic.
