Why Bill Belichick Deserves Two Busts in Pro Football Hall of Fame

Bill Parcells is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. If you look at the statistics Parcells accumulated as a head coach in the NFL it's pretty clear he's in the Pro Football Hall of Fame for one reason. That reason is Bill Belichick.

Bill Parcells NFL Coaching Record with Bill Belichick

  • 128-78-1 (.621) including 11-5 in playoffs and two Super Bowl wins

Bill Parcells NFL Coaching Record without Bill Belichick

  • 55-60 (.478) including going 0-3 in the playoffs

With Bill Belichick as an assistant coach running the defenses of the teams he coached in the NFL, Bill Parcells has a record of 128-78-1 (.621) including winning 11 NFL playoff games and two Super Bowls. The record includes three Super Bowl appearances (two wins with the New York Giants and one loss with the New England Patriots).

Without Bill Belichick as an assistant coach running the defenses of the NFL teams he coached, Bill Parcells overall record is just 55-60 (.478) including going 0-3 in the NFL Playoffs. Those are staggering numbers that clearly show Bill Belichick was the reason Bill Parcells is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Bill Parcells Never Won a Playoff Game and had a sub-.500 NFL Coaching Record without Bill Belichick on His Staff

As Bill Parcells used to like to say, you're record is what it is, and Parcells record with and without Bill Belichick in the NFL points out just how valuable and great a coach Bill Belichick is. When Bill Belichick gets enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame he deserves two busts because not only did he get himself in the Hall he also got Bill Parcells in too.
