PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2016 World Cup of Golf

The 2016 World Cup of Golf golf tournament is taking place this week from November 24-27, 2016, at the Kingston Heath Golf Club located in Melbourne, Australia. Here is the a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers at the 2016 World Cup of Golf.



The World Cup of Golf is a team competition featuring two-man teams from 28 different countries competing in 72-hole stroke play with the first and third days being four-ball play and the second and fourth days being alternate shot. The prize money listed below is per team so to get the per player amounts just divide by two as indicated below.

Total prize money up for grabs for the 56 PGA golfers at the 2016 World Cup of Golf is a cool $8 million. All teams who finish the competition will earn a paycheck this week with the 28th and last place team earning at least $53,333 or $26,666 per player.

  • Winner - $2.56 million

The winning team will take home a very cool first place prize of $2.56 million. That works out to $1.28 million in prize money for each winning golfer this week at the 2016 World Cup of Golf. That's a payday equal or better to almost all tournaments on the PGA Tour except for WGC and golf major tournaments.

  • 2nd place - $1.39 million

Second place is worth $1.39 million at the 2016 World Cup of Golf. That works out to $695,000 per player.

  • 3rd place - $800,000

Third place at the 2016 World Cup of Golf is worth $800,000 per team or $400,000 per player.

  • 4th place - $458,400

Fourth place is worth $458,400 at the 2016 World Cup of Golf. That works out to $229,200 per player.

  • 5th place - $373,600

Works out to $186,800 per player.

  • 6th place - $320,000

Works out to $160,000 per player.

  • 7th place - $266,400

Works out to $133,200 per player.

  • 8th place - $213,600

Works out to $106,800 per player.

  • 9th place - $160,000 

Works out to $80,000 per player.

  • 10th place - $126,400

Works out to $63,200 per player.
