PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at 2016 RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia

The 2016 RSM Classic golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from November 17-20, 2016, on the Seaside Course at the Sea Island Golf Club located in Sea Island, Georgia. Here is the a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers at the 2016 RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia.



The RSM Classic dates back to 2010. No big name golfer has ever won this tournament and a number of players like Kevin Kisner (2015), Robert Streb (2014) and Tommy Gainey recorded there only PGA Tour wins in this tournament. Zach Johnson and Davis Love III are resident tour pros at the Sea Island Golf Club.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 RSM Classic is $6 million. That's up 5.3% over the $5.7 million in prize money that was up for grabs here last year.

  • Winner - $1.08 million

The winner of the 2016 RSM Classic will earn a cool $1.08 million.That's up 5.3% over the $1.026 million that Kevin Kisner earned when he won this tournament last year for his first career PGA Tour win.

  • Second place - $648,000

Second place is worth $648,000 at the 2016 RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia. That's up 5.3% over the $615,600 that Kevin Chappell earned when he finished alone in 2nd place at this tournament last year.

  • Third place - $408,000

Third place at the 2016 RSM Classic is worth $408,000. That's up 5.3% over the $387,600 that Graeme McDowell earned when he finished alone in 3rd place in this tournament last year.

  • Fourth place - $288,000

Fourth place is worth $288,000 at the 2016 RSM Classic. That is up 5.3% over the $273,600 that Jon Curran earned when he finished alone in 4th place here last year.

  • Fifth place - $240,000

Fifth place is worth $240,000 at the 2016 RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia. That is up 5.3% over the $228,000 that Freddie Jacobson earned when he finished alone in 5th place here last year.
