PGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba

The 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba golf tournament on the PGA Tour is taking place this week from November 10-16, 2016, at the El Camaleon Golf Club located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Here is the a list of the prize money up for grabs for the PGA golfers at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba.



The OHL Classic at Mayakoba dates back to 2007. It was the first PGA Tournament played in Mexico in the current century but this year it will be one of two PGA Tournaments played in Mexico in the 2017 season.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba is $7.0 million, up 12.9% over $6.2 million in 2015.

  • Winner - $1.26 million

The winner of the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba will earn a cool $1.26 million. That's up 8.6% over the $1.116 million that Graeme McDowell earned when he won this tournament last year. 

  • Second place - $756,000

Second place is worth $756,000 at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba. Russell Knox and Jason Bohn split $1.09 million with each player earning $545,600 when they tied for 2nd place last year.

  • Third place - $476,000

Third place at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba PGA Tour event is worth $476,000.

  • Fourth place - $336,000

Fourth place is worth $336,000 at the 2016 OHL Classic at Mayakoba. That is up 12.9% over the $297,600 that Derek Fathauer earned when he finished alone in 4th place in this tournament last year.

  • Fifth place - $280,000
