PGA Golf Playing Field for the 2016 Hero World Challenge, Tiger Woods Playing

The 2016 Hero World Challenge golf tournament is taking place this week from December 1-4, 2016, at the Albany resort located on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas. Here is a list of all the top golfers in the playing field for the 2016 Hero World Challenge.

The big news for the 2016 Hero World Challenge playing field is that Tiger Woods, who also hosts the tournament, will be playing. The Hero World World Challenge marks Tiger Woods return to competitive golf after a very lengthy 16 month absence.

Joining Tiger Woods in the 2016 Hero World challenge are some of the best and top ranked golfers in the world including Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Henrik Stenson, Hideki Matsuyama, Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Russell Knox, Jimmy Walker and Matt Kuchar. Those are 11 of the top 20 ranked players in the world.

The 2016 Hero World Challenge is limited to 18 players and the remaining players in the field are also highly ranked. Brandt Snedeker, Brooks Koepka, Louis Oosthuizen, J.B. Holmes, Emiliano Grillo and Zach Johnson plus Tiger Woods fill out the field. Except for Tiger Woods, all the remaining 17 players in the Hero World Challenge are ranked in the top 40 in the world.

That is an excellent playing field which should make for a great tournament. Having Tiger Woods in the field also adds another dimension to the 2016 Hero World Challenge but this event really has a top notch class field this week.

How will Tiger Woods do this week in the Bahamas in the tournament he hosts? Tune in to the 2016 Hero World Challenge to find out.
