LPGA Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs for Women Players at 2016 CME Group Tour Championship

The 2016 CME Group Tour Championship golf tournament for women players on the LPGA Tour is taking place this week from November 17-20, 2016, on the Gold Course at the Tiburon Golf Club located in Naples, Florida. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women golfers at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship.



The CME Group Tour Championship is the season ending event for the 2016 LPGA season. In addition to the prize money listed below for the tournament, the three women who accumulate the most total points in the Race to the CME Globe this week will also earn bonus money which you can see here.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship is $2.0 million. That is the same amount of prize money as last year. All 72 women who play in the tournament will earn a paycheck this week as long as they complete the tournament.

  • Winner - $500,000

The winner of the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship will earn or win a very nice paycheck of $500,000. That is the same amount of prize money that Cristie Kerr earned when she won this women's golf tournament last year.

  • Second place - $170,000

Second place is worth $170,000 at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship golf tournament for women players. Gerina Piller and Ha Na Jang split $279,738 with each player earning $139,869 when they tied for second place here last year.

  • Third place - $110,000

Third place at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship is worth $110,000. 

  • Fourth place - $91,000

Fourth place is worth  $91,000 at the 2016 CME Group Tour Championship golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. Roughly the same amount of prize money earned by Lexi Thompson when she finished alone in 4th place here last year.

  • Fifth place - $73,000
