Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs for Women Players at 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia

The 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia golf tournament for women players on the LPGA Tour is taking place this week from October 27-30, 2016, at the TPC Kuala Lumpur located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women golfers at the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.

The Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia dates back to 2010. The inaugural winner was Jimin Kang from South Korea followed by Na Yeon Choi in 2011, Inbee Park in 2012, Lexi Thompson in 2013, Shanshan Feng in 2014 and last year's winner was Jessica Korda. 

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 Blue Bay LPGA is $2.0 million. That is the same amount of prize money as last year and since 2013.

There is no cut this week as only 72 or so women players will tee it up this week in the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia. So all the LPGA women players who complete the tournament this week will earn a paycheck.

  • Winner - $300,000

The winner of the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia will earn or win a paycheck of $300,000. That is the same amount of prize money that Jessica Korda earned when she won this women's golf tournament last year.

  • Second place - $185,000

Second place is worth about $185,000 at the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia golf tournament for women players in Malaysia. Lydia Ko, Stacy Lewis and Shanshan Feng split $423,384 with each player earning $141,128 when they all tied for 2nd place here last year.

  • Third place - $135,000

Third place at the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia is worth about $135,000. 

  • Fourth place - $105,000

Fourth place is worth about $105,000 at the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. 

  • Fifth place - $84,000

  • Sixth place - $68,000
