Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs for Women Players at 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship

The 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship golf tournament for women players on the LPGA Tour is taking place this week from October 13-16, 2016, on the Ocean Course at the Sky 72 Golf Club located in Incheon, South Korea. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the women golfers at the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.

The LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship dates back to 2002. Suzann Pettersen (2007, 2012,) and Na Yeon Choi (2009, 2010) jointly hold the record for most wins with two each. Last year's winner was Lexi Thompson.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship  is $2 million. That is the same amount of prize money that was up for grabs in this tournament last year and since 2014.

There is no cut this week as only 80 women players will tee it up this week in the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship.

  • Winner - $300,000

The winner of the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship will earn or win a paycheck of $300,000. That is the same amount of prize money Lexi Thompson earned when she won this women's golf tournament last year.

  • Second place - $183,000

Second place is worth about $183,000 at the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship. Yani Tseng and Sung Hyun Park split $317,158 with each player earning $158,579 when they tied for 2nd place here last year.

  • Third place - $133,000

Third place at the 2016 LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship  is worth about $133,000. 

  • Fourth place - $103,000

  • Fifth place - $82,000

  • Sixth place - $68,000
