PGA Senior Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship

The 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship golf tournament on the PGA Champions Tour is taking place this week from September 23-25, 2016, on the Mountain Course at the Bear Mountain Resort located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the senior PGA golfers to win at the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.



The Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship dates back to 2012 and was played as the Pacific Links Hawaii Championship until 2014. The tournament was scheduled to be played in 2015 in Tianjin, China but was canceled after explosions rocked the Chinese city a month before the tournament was scheduled to be played. It was moved to the Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Mountain Resort for 2016.

Total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship is $2.5 million. That is up 13.6% from the $2.2 million of prize money that was up for grabs at this senior golf tournament the last time it was played in 2014.

  • Winner - $375,000

The winner of the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship will earn $375,000. That's up 13.6% over the $330,000 Paul Goydos earned when he won this event in 2014.

  • Second place - $220,000

Second place is worth $220,000 at the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship. Fred Funk and Scott Dunlap split $352,000 with each player earning $176,000 when they tied for second place in this event in 2014.

  • Third place - $180,000

Third place at the 2016 Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship is worth $180,000.

  • Fourth place - $150,000
