European Tour Golf Prize Money Up for Grabs at the 2016 KLM Dutch Open

The 2016 KLM Dutch Open golf tournament on the European Tour is taking place this week from September 8-11, 2016, at The Dutch golf course located in Spijk, The Netherlands. Here is a list of the prize money up for grabs for the European Tour players to win at the 2016 KLM Dutch Open.

The KLM Dutch Open golf tournament dates back to 1912 and this tournament became a European Tour event in 1972. Seve Ballesteros, Bernhard Langer and Simon Dyson hold the record for most wins with three each. Americans Bob Bynum (2 wins), Payne Stewart and Scott Hoch have all won the KLM Open as a European tour event.

The total prize money up for grabs at the 2016 KLM Dutch Open event is $2.01 million. All prize money for the 2016 KLM Dutch Open golf tournament has been converted from Euros to American dollars at the current exchange rate of 1.12. 

  • Winner - $334,815

The winner of the 2016 KLM Dutch Open golf tournament will earn $334,815. Thomas Pieters (pictured above) from Belgium was the winner of this European Tour event last year. Pieters won the 2016 Made in Denmark European Tour event on August 28.

  • Second place - $223,210

Second place at the KLM Dutch Open is worth $223,210. Lee Slattery from England and Eduardo De La Riva from Spain tied for 2nd place at this European Tour event last year.

  • Third place - $125,757

Third place is worth $125,757 at the KLM Open European Tour golf tournament. 

  • Fourth place - $100,445

Fourth place at the 2016 KLM Open is worth $100,445. Fabrizio Zanotti from Portugal finished alone in this golf tournament last year. 

  • Fifth place - $85,177
